Chimney Installation & Repair
Has your chimney suffered weather damage? We can repair or replace your chimney.
The before images show old spaulding stone and cracked up cap. Our team removed the old stone, laid new stone, and poured a overhanging cap.
John, Sr., was out frequently to check on the project, arranged for needed materials, and consulted frequently by phone as well. I am so very pleased with their masonry work. They were very pleasant to work with, answered all my questions, and worked with me to find solutions to issues that came up along the way. I am very thankful to J.G. Masonry for taking on this big project and seeing it through to a wonderful end.

John I’m pleased with the result, plus you have a terrific team of guys that went beyond my expectations.

John and his son, John Jr., coordinated well with Hoffer Structural Lifters of St. Johns, MI, Novak Trucking and Excavating, and even located a carpenter, Bill Chambers of Caro, MI, when a carpenter’s services was unexpectedly needed. They removed old cement (garage floor, sidewalk & front porch), checked all the original foundation block before they started, removed the weak or damaged block, and then installed the new block. They added 32″ above the original foundation before Hoffer’s put the house back down on its new foundation and Novak’s did the tiling and backfilling.

John, Jr. and their employee of 30+ years, Kevin, worked steadily for at least 2 1/2 months to complete this big project from mid-August until the end of October! They were here rain or shine unless it was pouring rain. They even worked some Saturdays. Their hard work got me moved out of my pole building and back into my house by November 3, 2018, just before the really cold weather and snow started. Hurray!!!

J.G. Masonry, owned by John Gall of Midland, MI, did excellent work on my house-lifting/foundation increase project. This was necessary following the damage done by the flood of June 22-23, 2017. It resulted in 5″ of water in the main floor of my ranch home, which sat lower than my neighbors. Their homes were all islands with sump pumps that kept the water out. I aspired to be an island should flooding occur again!
